Zero Privacy Policy

1. Zero

Zero is an application for email developed by Mailfeed Inc. for use on mobile devices, such as smartphones, tables, PDAs etc. By using Zero, website or using any of the services owned by Mailfeed Inc., you are accepting practices outlined in this policy.

2. About your Privacy

At Mailfeed, your privacy is very important to us. We are dedicated to providing you with exceptional service while protecting your privacy and safeguarding your personal information. Zero App DOES NOT STORE your messages, contacts or private information on our or any third party servers. Your email messages, your account password and all other personal information that you share with others when using Zero, STAY ON YOUR PHONE or with your email provider. (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail etc) When you use Real Time Notifications, Zero does store authentication token on remote server that allows Zero app to check for new messages and send push notification to your mobile device as soon as the new messages arrive. Authentication tokens are strings of access code issued by email server that allow Zero app to read, write and check for new emails. Authentication tokens do not contain your passwords and expire when you remove access to Zero app in your email. When you use Real Time Notification Zero app only gets the header of the email that contains basic information, such as sender and subject line and only uses that information to let you know that the new email has arrived. No messages or metadata is stored on our or any other third party servers. In all other instances and when not using Real Time Notifications, Zero does not store access tokens on it's servers and only you and your authorized devices can access your email. If you would like to use more private and secure notifications, Zero offers standard device centric notifications that do not require Zero app to store Authentication tokens outside of your device.

3. Personal information

Zero application is designed to work only with your existing email accounts (Hotmail, Gmail Yahoo, etc), that requires you to provide the email address(es) that you want to access with our service. We store those email addresses in order to provide you with best user experience and the best service possible. Email addresses identify to us who you are and what accounts you would like to access with Zero app. Email passwords and any other optional personal information such as your name, that you are asked to enter while authorizing Zero to access your email account(s) is not stored and/or kept by Mailfeed.

Any other personal information we collect that may come directly from you or from third parties when you link your email accounts (with third party providers) to Zero will remain stored with those providers or on your mobile device.

4. Non-personal information

We collect technical information when you use Zero. In today's world, technology based on some non-personal information that almost always gets created and recorded in an automated way and often helps application and websites to analyze their users' behavior and trends, improve user experience as well as administer the website or service. When you use Zero, we collect such information. The information and ways we may use to collect it described bellow:

Log Data: When you use Zero, our application automatically record information about your interaction with our product, including information that your browser or Zero application sends whenever you visit a website or Zero mobile application. This data may include your Internet Protocol address, the address of the web page you were visiting before you came to Zero, browser type and settings, the date and time of your request, mobile device type, Operating system version and how you used Zero.

Cookies: Depending on how you’re accessing our products, we may use HTML, HTTP or Flash “cookies” to identify you and record log data. When we use cookies, we may use “session” cookies (that last until you close your browser) or “persistent” cookies (that last until you or your browser deletes them). For example, we may use cookies to keep you logged in or to store your language preferences or other settings so you don’t have to set them up every time you visit Zero.

Device Information: In addition to log data, we may also collect information about the device you’re using Zero on, including what type of device it is, what operating system you’re using, device settings, unique device identifiers, and crash data. Whether we collect some or all of this information often depends on what type of device you’re using and its settings. For example, different types of information are available depending on whether you’re using a Mac or a PC, or an iPhone or an Android phone. 5. How do we use information we collect?

How Do We Use Personally Identifiable Information (PII)? We use the PII we request at registration in order to provide you with the services offered in Zero application. We store the email address but we do not store any other PII, including your password. All PII is used strictly to provide our service to you. Any optional personal information that you supply to us when you use our website or Zero, your name, mailing address, telephone number, and any optional personal information that you are asked to enter while authorizing Zero to access your email account(s) is not stored and/or kept by Mailfeed.

All information provided by you to Mailfeed Inc. is strictly confidential and we will almost never release any personal information about you without your permission. However, Mailfeed reserves the right to release your information if you have violated the Zero Terms of Service, or if the information is subpoenaed, in order to protect safety of Zero users.

We may use some non-personal information to help us understand how you use the Zero and how we can improve our service for other users. Such use of non-personal information is a standard practice for most mobile applications and services and we will always exercise great caution when sharing such information with our partners, such as Google or Apple when using services they provide to us, to help serve you better.

6. Sharing Personal and Non-Personal Information with others?

Mailfeed Inc. is not in the business of selling client lists or personal information to others. In providing our services, we may need to disclose the Non-personal information we collect to affiliates, subsidiaries, successors and other service providers or agents who perform various functions for us.

7. Protect your data and information?

Zero service was designed and built from the ground up with data security as a top priority. Zero complies with all of the security standards employed by your email service providers to keep your information secure.

8. Important things to keep in mind:

Your Consent: By using Zero you consent to your information being collected, used and transferred as set forth in this Privacy Policy. Information transferred to or stored in the United States may be subject to access requests from U.S. governments, courts, law enforcement officials and national security authorities in the United States according to United States laws.

13 and Up: If you are under the age of 13, we're sorry, but you can't use Zero. On the bright side, Zero will never knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, his or her parent or guardian may contact us for the purpose of deleting this information.

Changing Our Policy: This Privacy Policy is subject to change. We will prominently post a notice on the Web Site when there are material changes in the way we treat PII. You should periodically check back and review this Privacy Policy so that you always will know what information we collect, how we use it, and with whom we share it.
